About The Photographer
A Pacific Northwest native, Tami Meader studied her craft on the east coast and worked in Boston for ten years, focusing on product/portraiture photography.
After moving to Seattle, she produced fashion shoots for Nordstom, working on set with many national and international photographers.
Tami set up her own studio on Bainbridge Island in 1998, and in addition to working on her own images, she specializes in product photography for catalogues and web sites, and website design. Many local artists have taken advantage of her broad skill-set to create professional portfolios and websites.
One such recent photo appeared on the 'THE BEST!' page in the May issue of House Beautiful Magazine. Several more are slated to be featured during the coming year in Art Jewelry Magazine. Tami's product photos were honored when the catalogue they were shot for received a 'silver award' from the international Gallery of Superb Printing last year.
As an avid gardener herself, Tami brings enthusiasm and a discerning eye to this year's gardens. Tami Meader is not new to the Bloom, having shot the lovely image of frogs in a dahlia used for the 2005 poster.
This year Tami has turned her lense on our featured gardens, capturing a narrative of color, texture and light in pictures that acknowledge the untold hours and love poured into these spaces by their caretakers. We hope these tributes will tempt you to join us on the tour!
